Students engage in weekly conversations with local families about issues from Biblical passages. They ask about the local experiences of things like laws for the poor (Leviticus), migration from their country (Ruth) etc and seek to relate the Biblical passages to these. They integrate these in a final analysis of the culture of the city.
Students develop an analysis of how Biblical theology impinges on themes of cities, poverty, oppression, justice, societal structure, migration, power etc.
Students develop a rule of life, identifyng core values, some major aims, and spiritual habits to enable them to a sustained sprituality over the next two years or a lifetime.
Students present a video or voiced over pPowerPoint of an aspect of their urban spirituality (e.g. justice spirituality, urban poor spirituality, their lifestyle and values, spritual response to pain, dealing with bitterness, cross-cultural spirituality)...
